Room Temperature Synthesis of Branched ZnO Nanowires Array with Tunable Morphology

Herein, a novel method is proposed to synthesize B-ZnO NWA by simply immersing the Zn in NaOH solution at room temperature (25 °C). Based on systematic investigation of various factors that affect growth NWA, mechanism clarified. Guided mechanism, control morphology achieved adjusting pore structure anodized aluminum oxide templates, hot-pressing parameters, concentration, temperature, and immersion time. In contrast previous reports, prepared has hollow trunks, which can further increase specific area NWA. Considering facile, environmental, low-cost synthesis, with tunable great prospects wide range applications, especially those related conversion utilization solar energy, are gaining increasing interest nowadays.
